About Collin Park Marina

It’s a wonderful feeling to find a destination that the whole family can enjoy for one weekend. It’s even better when that destination provides an environment where a family can return and try something different every single time. Tom Miller opened Collin Park Marina in 1981, and forty-five years later, the Miller family still owns and operates the marina.

Collin Park Marina is a place where visitors have to think about nothing, but have access to everything. More than 500 slips serve North Texas boaters with covered and uncovered wet slips, a Lake Lavon fuel dock with three dispensers, and our visitors arrive to find a blend of nature and relaxation that goes far beyond boat storage.

We are home to the Collin Park Campground, which provides RV sites with full utilities. The campground includes volleyball courts, a swimming area, picnic areas with pavilions, trailer and boat dry storage, and direct access to the 25.5-mile-long Trinity Trail, a multi-purpose hiking and equestrian trail around the perimeter of Lake Lavon. Visitors never have to leave the campground if they want, as Collin Park Marina includes a fully stocked ship store for any boater necessities and camp snacks, and our on-water Lavon Lake restaurant, The Boathouse, is always ready to bring great food, drinks, and live music to anglers and cruising boats tying up right on the lake for a meal.

Within Collin Park is Woody’s on the Lake boat rentals, which provides both families and groups seeking a party on the lake with pontoon boats and private, captained cruises on The Texan and The Tiki party boats.

Collin Park Marina is home to a fantastic Texas fishing culture and Lake Lavon is full of largemouth bass, crappie, and channel catfish. The bass fishing is so revered that Lake Lavon holds a weekly evening bass tournament from April through September that launches from right here at Collin Park.

We welcome all of our hikers, equestrians, anglers, campers, watersports lovers, and those who don’t need a label and just want to enjoy a shaded campground hammock.

This is your home for Lavon Lake adventure.

What Our Customers Say

If you’re looking for an excellent place to drop in at Lake Lavon this is the place to go. They have tons of amenities to offer; boat ramp, boat docks/storage, small bait/boat store, picnic areas, swimming areas, and a cool floating restaurant just to name a few. The facilities aren’t brand new but they are nice and get the job done plus some. They do charge a little bit of money upon entering depending on what you’re there for, so check into that before heading out there without your wallet. Enjoy the lake!

A quiet peaceful piece of Heaven on Earth. The fishing NEVER disappointed and we fished from the shore for 3 months while staying at the RV site and were never skunked. Loved the live music.
